Modelling Delays on Trunk Roads

The Highways Agency is responsible for the operation and stewardship of the Strategic Road Network in England. Its primary functions are to reduce congestion, improve journey time reliability and safety, whilst minimising the network's adverse impact on the environment.

One of the Agency's key objectives is to minimise delays and this requires it to understand and manage the factors affecting traffic flows. Risk Solutions is working closely with the Agency to model the factors that affect delay and journey time reliability and to assess the impact of different options to manage the network.
